What kind of person shouldn’t attend this school? The type of person who shouldn’t attend this school is someone who is really in to parties. Yes South Alabama has parties just like any other school but because we are considered a dry campus, most parties on campus get busted quickly. Also the school is mainly a commuter school, so the campus can feel dead during the weekends. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?I brag most about how home like my school feels. Because the campus is in one location and not spread within the city, it gives it a sense of closeness. I believe going to South Alabama allows you to feel like one big family with your classmates and gives you the opportunity to meet so many new people throughout the school.

What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered?Due to the smaller classes, it is easier to get to know your professors. The professors care about how well that you do in their class. They are willing to help you and want you to ask questions.  I have asked other students from bigger schools about that and they say that is not the case at all. I am blessed to go to a school that wants you to succeed to the best of your ability. What’s the most frustrating thing about your school? The parking is miserable and the food could be much better, but other than that there is nothing wrong it.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?The worst part of attending the University of South Aalabama is the parking. We have four different parking zones, and each student is assigned to one parking zone for the entire year. It is an extreme problem that the university refuses investigate. Some zones have too much parking space while others have too little and often students cannot find adequate parking and are forced to park elsewhere. The university cracks down on this illegal parking by writing tickets. They need to either build more parking lots or do away with the assigned parking.Describe your school in one sentence. The University of South Alabama is the perfect balance of small college campus versus large college campus, where everyone knows one another but the opportunities and activities are endless.
