What kind of person should attend this school?A person that should attend this school is someone who is looking to go into the medical field. UCI has a great Biology and Chemistry department. The Bio and Chem teachers are very helpful and informative. They also try anyway to help you learn the material. Personally, I had a great experience with the Bio and Chem department and I learned a lot. Professor Bringley was the first Chem professor I had in college and her lectures are very help. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school? What I brag about is that how awesome the campus life it in UCI. UCI has lots of events going from the UCI basketball team to Shocktoberfest. Shocktoberfest was a event where Kendrick Lamar performed live. Also President Clinton came to UCI for a political rally. UCI not only has an awesome campus life but also an excellent education program. When my friends complain to me about their bad grades and their low GPA, I tell my friends to transfer to UCI because the professors here are so helpful that it is impossibe to fail the class. UCI is awesome.

What do you wish you had known before you came to this school?I wish that I knew more about what the school has to offer. There are tons of clubs on campus, but I’ve only heard about a handful and none of which interest me. I know that there has to be one club on campus that will draw my interest but as of now none have. I want to get the full experience out of college and I feel that knowing what else beside academics a school has to offer wiould help anyone get the college experience they deserve. What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered? What is unique about UCI compared to other schools I considered is the close knit community that UCI has to offer. The campus is relatively small compared to other UC’s I considered going to, but the size of the campus makes the people bond with one another. What is also unique about this campus is the diveristy all around. You aren’t going to meet people who are exactly like you; most often you’ll meet people who are opposite of you and you’ll find that those people will eventually become your close friends.

Describe your classmates in one sentence. My classmates are very friendly, helpful, motivated, and studious, their personalities are shown through their dedication in succeeding from studying at University of California, Irvine. What kind of person should attend this school?Studious, motivated, and dedicated people should attend this school because University of California, Irvine is one of the top school to pursue a career. People who are not studious, motivated, and dedicated should not be in this school so people who are can be in this school. Not everyone is lucky enough to get accepted by UCI, therefore they should appreciate and take advantage of what has been given to them.

What do you consider the best thing about your school? Why?The best thing about UCI is how helpful people are on campus. I am a Biological Sciences major (the biggest one on campus), and so there are tons of resources if I need any help in classes or deciding my major. Of course there are other resources for different majors, but the staff helped walk me through my major and ease better into my second quarter. There are tons of tutoring services as well which can be very useful. I also love the campus environment, surrounded by lots of green trees and grass (coming from an Arizona resident). What’s the most frustrating thing about your school? The most frustrating part is how many people complain that they attend UCI. Personally UCI was my last choice (out of 4 schools I applied to), but I still thought it was a great school. However, most people that attend UCI were rejected by UCB and UCLA so they’re a bit bitter. I think UCI is a great school (still a part of the UC system), offering great academics and fun clubs. I enjoy the atmosphere whenever I’m on campus, and the people are friendly (usually haha).
