What do you consider the best thing about your school? Why?The reputation. What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered?I was able to double major in Biomedical Engineering and Women’s Studies and graduate on time and the small friendly communities were extremely supportive.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?In the winter when it starts to snow, it makes it really difficult to walk to places on campus. I wish there was an underground tunnel system from different popular places to others.  There is the Joey bus which drives to three places on campus and then to Davis Square, but it is not that practical for everyday scenarios. What’s the most frustrating thing about your school? The fact that there is no school spirit for sports.  Students here defend Tufts as a school but rarely are there many students at football games. The one thing I regret is that feeling many college students get when it is Saturday and their football team is playing their rival or a ranked team.

Describe your school in one sentence.Tufts has the best of both worlds: large enough student population to be a renowned research university with many opportunities but small enough that no one is “just a number” and students can build strong relationships with professors (and the amazingly diverse student body with just as much knowledge to offer as professors).,What kind of person should attend this school?Tufts students are focused and don’t mind spending a Saturday night in the library.  They are often overextended with extracurriculars, all of which they are passionate about, yet are able to balance the heavy work load. Students take the initiative to be productive, worldly, active citizens and give back to the community while getting the most out of their tuition dollar.

Describe your school in one sentence.Tufts is very simply described by its own mascot—Jumbo, the elephant—, as Tufts is an ironically small school full of people with jumbo-sized hearts, jumbo-sized aspirations, jumbo-sized accomplishments, jumbo-sized appetites (academically, too), jumbo-sized drive and ambition, and jumbo-sized knowledge of all that is going on in the world (where else would you meet a large percentage of people from diverse backgrounds who actually know the difference between long track and short track speed skating?).,What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered? It is basically an undiscovered gem amidst the hype surrounding Ivy-Leagues and other more well-known schools. The classes are small and the professors and advisors are as open and as available as you could ask for. Also, I can think of no other university who has an on-site, available dietician who is ready to discuss changes and additions that could be made to dining hall menus (I’m a strict vegetarian).  Most importantly, Tufts is the most international school one will ever attend—there are at least 10 international kids on my floor.

Describe your school in one sentence.Tufts is very diverse, with lots of extracurriculars and a variety of very well-rounded students from all over the nation and the world.,What’s the most frustrating thing about your school?Cliques do exist, and it can be hard to find friends if you don’t have an “in” with a sports team/Greek life/club
