Describe your school in one sentence. This school is the place to be if you are serious about being invloved in a technology major.,What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered? The location was unique. It was in a quiet area. It was the type of place I wanted to continue my education because I wouldn’t be distracted by the glamour of the city. While there is a city near my campus, it is the quiet atmosphere that I like that allows to me to do my best at my work.

What is your school best known for? There is a friendly environment with professors who are willing to help you learn and suceed. the campus is not too small or too big. The classes are a great size to allow for interaction with the teachers and they know you by name.  The atmosphere is caring and supportive, and you can talk to anyone about anything.,What do you consider the best thing about your school? Why?The expereince of my professors. They are the experts in their fiels. If I need to learn something who better than someone who has lived this experience for some time.  The wealth of knowledge they possess is brought to my level so I can understand now and hope to be able to function at a higher level in the future.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?Without a doubt I would have to say that the worst thing about school is the professors in the technology department.  Not all of the professors are bad but at least half just can not seem to get the point across when it comes to the class they are teaching.  Many of them are very smart in what they know, they just can portray it in a way that students can understand.  In fact a couple professors actually believe that and use the statement, “I have my tenure and their is nothing you can do about it.” How about that?,What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered? In most cases I believe the most unique thing about this school is its technology majors.  Most of the school’s technology is up to date and the administration behind the new technology is constantly looking to new things.  The school labs range from PCs to linux, to a few macs if you would like to test out different systems.  But the main system behind most computer information majors is Linux.  SUNY Institute of Technology offers many different versions of Linux to students and also uses it as a basis behind all of their programming courses.
