What kind of person shouldn’t attend this school?Someone who is negative and that does not want to achieve and become successful.,What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered?Skyline is very diverse, It is filled will rich culture form all over the world. The teachers are very caring and are always willing to help or answer a question, I have had very good experience with the teachers and the staff. The counselors are great, they want to see us succeed just as much as we do.

What do you wish you had known before you came to this school?i wish i would of known that the only person that will take care of me is myself.  my transition from high school to college was confusing.  in highschool teachers would baby me telling me to turn in my homework, letting me turn in late-work, make-up test , the staff would know where every student was , i would recieve daily emails letting me know what was for homework . in college no one is here to remined me to do my homework. teachers don’t care if i miss class its my responsibility to stay on top of my work.,What kind of person should attend this school? The type of person that i believe should attend skyline college is someone who can balance a social life and school work. this person has to be very responsible and will have to understand that every choice one makes will affect your college succes, weather it being taking a morning class or saying no to party because one has to study for finals.  all of these things count towerds ones sucsses , with one slip one can stumble pretty hard of the road of sucsses. i believe anyone who attends skyline has to have self-control.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?There was constant construction to upgrade the campus facilities. It wasn’t until I transferred was when the school had finally upgraded their science department with new microscopes, state of the art labs and instruments.,What do you wish you had known before you came to this school? The school does try to cater to non-traditional students. It was by chance, I was passing the halls and notice fliers catering to non-traditional students especially women re-entering the school system. If I had known then what I know now, I would have looked into the program earlier before.

What’s the most frustrating thing about your school? The most frustating thing about skyline college is, that theres not alot of minorities at that school. its divors, and thats cool bout it would be better if ther were more minorities presant at the school!  Being one of the few black students at my college is an honor tho, because we get more undivided attention with our work, so thats a plus.  Also, there’s a few african american teachers there also so thats cool too!,If you could change something about your school, what would you change?if i could change one thing about my school, that would be the fact thats its on a hill kind of! At skyline college, it gets cold easily and sometimes its foggy. i live in san francisco, so the bus tranpertation route can take forever to get there.  if the school was on flat land, it wouldn’t take that long to get there.  i wouldn’t have to take three buses to get there also!

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?Well Skyline isn’t a very social school but that’s just they way it is. Everyone who comes there is in to get out (regardless of whether or not they’re giving their best efforts in their studies). Social groups are a great thing but for some reason they just aren’t that interesting at Skyline College. When I transfer to a four-year, I am excited to join the social groups that I’ll find there but (as is probably the case with most community colleges) Skyline College seems more a necessity than a new way of life.,What’s the most frustrating thing about your school? That there aren’t very many foreign language courses or bowed string instrument courses.
