What do you wish you had known before you came to this school?I wish I had known the sizes of the classes were quite large and smaller classes would be limited until you got to your major classes. I also wish I had known what I wanted my major to be before going to college so I would be prepared from the start. What kind of person should attend this school?Someone who attends SDSU definitely needs to be social. There are a lot of people who enjoy social outings and exploring here, so if you can’t keep up with that than you may not enjoy being around your peers. There’s also a lot of stuff to do in San Diego, so you will enjoy your experience more if you open yourself up to the extracurricular activities around here.

Describe your school in one sentence. While San Diego is known more for parties as opposed to academics, it is a great school in a great environment; when with the right crowd of people, anyone can feel completely accepted at this university. What kind of person shouldn’t attend this school?People who dislike large crowds, partiers, and running into drunk college students definitely wouldn’t like the vibe that this campus puts off. Those who care about their image and how they are perceived by others shouldn’t attend SDSU either because often, you get disapproving looks by adults who claim you won’t get much education at San Diego State.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?For me, paying out of state tuition is probably the worst thing. My family makes barely enough money to pay the bills, but not enough to pay for my school. This means I am paying my school with a loan of 35000 which I refuse to do next year without financial assistance. I applied to SDSU with a 4.0 and still got nothing. It discouraged me that kids from NJ who admittedley didn’t work that hard in high school pay half what I pay even though I too am paying for school by myself. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school? My school when you walk onto it feels like a paradise. The campus is absolutely beautiful. BUT, I find I never really mention that when I talk about it. I only seem to ever say how happy I am here. I am in Circle K and Entrepreneur Society and they alone let me know I am in the perfect spot. This is where I am suppose to be.  I tell them classes can be challenging, but the experience I have been getting here is worth every sent I pay.

Describe your school in one sentence. This school is excellent for student involvement; take advantage of all the oppotunities it has to offer. What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered?Rather than focus on just GPA, SDSU encourages students to get real hands-on experience in the field they wish to pursure.
