What do you consider the best thing about your school? Why?The best thing about Randolph-Macon is the set up of the semesters. Instead of coming in mid to early august for the fall semester, taking most of December and January off, then coming back for spring semester, we come at the beginning of September, take a few weeks off before and after January, allowing the month of January to be dedicated to a single class, then come back for spring term to be finished in mid-May.  This allows students to be able to fit more classes into a single academic year. What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered?Randolph-Macon College is unique compared to other schools because of the small-town atmosphere. The school only has around 1300 students and the campus is moderately small making it feel more like a small town community rather than an area full of buildings in which no one knows each other.  This allows for class sizes to be smaller which gives students the ability to make one-on-one connections with their professors, and therefore, get more out of each class.

What do you consider the best thing about your school? Why?I think that the best thing about my college is how small it is. I love the small college air, and that everyone knows each other and everyone knows the professors. It is easy to talk to the professors and to get to know them and do better in their classes because the student to professor ratio is very small.,Describe your classmates in one sentence. My classmates are fun, we always plan things to go out and do together and we make sure to eat dinner together in groups as many nights out of the week as we can.

Describe your school in one sentence.Randolph-Macon College is very family oriented., and is all about making connections.,What do you wish you had known before you came to this school?More information about all the majors and minors offered. If you have an idea of what you want to major in, I suggest you request as much information about it as possible. And maybe even visit classes in progress to see if you would like the major or minor before declaring.
