What kind of person should attend this school?Ouachita is not for everyone. People that enjoy partying, slacking, procrastinating, and being dishonest will not be able to handle the rigorous classes at this university. Hardworking, patient, and timely students will fit in perfectly here. They must know how to handle their time efficiently, recognizing the importance of priorities in their studies. Ouachita students are also very gregarious, flocking towards social clubs (sororities), intramurals, and family groups. If you aren’t a very social person, it will be hard to go to school here!,What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered?Ouachita Baptist University is considered a liberal arts university, focusing not only on the students’ future careers and job securities, but also focusing on the breadth of understanding and knowledge that students will acquire while attending this college.  The university emphasizes a well balanced college career: students are challenged to handle a full course-load of challenging material while maintaining a healthy social life.

Describe your classmates in one sentence.Friendly people who you can study with, hang out with, and lean on.,What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered? My school is like a community.  The professor’s care about the students and their education and are willing to work with the students to help them understand the material. Not only are the faculty great but so is the staff. They are always there for you. The school has a great learning enviroment. There are so many places to study and hang out. OBU isn’t boring unless you make it boring or you want it to be boring. The students are nice too. It is like a small town.
