What is your school best known for?My school is best known for the community. Most people living in the town of Marquette are friendly and helpful. It feels like a family because everyone pitches in to help each other for a greater good.What’s the most frustrating thing about your school?The most frustrating thing about NMU is the fact that they use sand to melt ice rather than salt. It’s more environmentally friendly which is really good, but the sand gets in the cracks of your shoes and follows you into the dorm rooms. My roommate and I had to swifter our floor two to three times a week. We now have a shoe bucket so that helps keep the sand under control.

What do you consider the best thing about your school? Why?I think that the best part about my school is the environment. Things are not pressuring and you can do almost anything that you want.What do you wish you had known before you came to this school?I wish I would have known more information about my finanical situation. So, I could plan that our better.

Describe your classmates in one sentence.My classmates are extremely laidback, supportive, accepting, and fun to be around, while still maintaining the intensity needed to get schoolwork done.What do you wish you had known before you came to this school?I wish I would have known about how bad the old dorms were for people with allergies.

Describe your classmates in one sentence.I have yet to attend a NMU class. My classes start Augest 29th. So I am not sure what my classmates will be like.If you could change something about your school, what would you change?The cost. I don’t know how they expect us college students to afford to get a decent education. You need an education to make a good pay check. You cannot live on minium wage. With the cost of college and the fact the our economy is not doing to well there are not really that many jobs out there. I have heard that many college graduates are having hard time in finding jobs. So you think college would be a little more affordable since there is no guarentee you are going to get a job.
