What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered?John Brown University is a private Baptist college.  Studying methods at JBU are based on a Christian base.  Not only do we study a certain topic such as Microeconomics but we’re studying from a Christian’s view point and ideas. If you could change something about your school, what would you change? For JBU’s online degree program I would change the OM program by omitting the age requirement.  The OM program allows students who don’t have the time to attend college to be able to attend a class at a dedicated location outside the university.  I’m 21 years old and work full time at a clinic and I didn’t qualify for the OM program for the age requirement was 24 years old.  The requirement should be based on students free time rather than age.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school? It is a small school in which you can make friends easily. It has a relaxing astmosphere and people kind and loving. The professors are always there when you need them and they will help you with whatever you need help on.What’s the most frustrating thing about your school? The most frustrating thing about John Brown is that freshman have to park at North which is like almost a 5 min walk.  Its also frustrating having to walk in the darkness sometimes. Theres sometimes nothing to do around town and the stores close early too.

What is your school best known for?It is know for several areas - the construction field, the education department and the area I am in - renewable energy.  In the lst few years they have added this degree and built buildings to accomodate classes.  We are currently building a wind turbine. It’s great. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?I enjoy the comaraderie with fellow students.  I have friends in my field that I study with and friends from various other fields
that I am friends with and have fun hanging out.  I appreciate the small size of the campus and number of students.  It helps you feel connected
to the other students and to the staff

What do you wish you had known before you came to this school? If I had lived close enough to the campus I would have rather have gone there instead.  I paid the same amount as they did, even more, for less of the experience.  No beautiful buildings surrounded by trees for me.,What kind of person should attend this school? If you want a positive atmosphere, caring professors, and a beautiful and walkable campus John Brown is the place to go.  It is a Christian college so someone who wants to party-hardy should not sign up unless you are attending the satellite schools as they don’t have the same standards as the actual college does.
