What is your school best known for?Grambling is most known for its football team, band, and nursing program. All are equally astonishing. Our football team is one well known because of the SWAC championship that was won in 2009. The Grambling Band has appeared in many well known events (ex: Barack Obama’s Inauguration Parade, Played for Bill Clinton, and were given a tv show in the early 00’s). The nursing program is very prestigue and productive. Students who are part of Grambling’s nursing program are often offered great jobs upon completion of the nursing school.,What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?I consider the worst thing about Grambling State University the lack of workstudy programs and financial aid for lower income students. There was alot of confusion during the 2009-2010 school year about raising the out of state fees and adding late fees to students accounts when they were registered on time. Also the presidents of the school have usually taken money or built frivoulous items that the students dont need, but we eventually have to pay for them in tuition fees.

What do you consider the best thing about your school? Why?The best thing about Grambling i would have to say is the students that attend here. The atmosphere at the school just feels right here. I feel at home here. I have also met some wonderful people here also. I am glad I came to this school, Grambling has this little saying (Grambling State University Where Everybody is Somebody).,What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered?Grambling is known for its amazing band Nicknamed The World Famed Grambling Marching Band.  There very lively and energetic and we always have a fun listening to them. There is also alot of unity at this school, its like the students have an unbreakable bond. Grambling feels like home. We are one big family here. There is so much love and support from the students and faculty. I am glad to be here.

What is your school best known for?I would say my school is best known for its’ Tiger spirit.,What’s the most frustrating thing about your school?The most frustrating part about my school would be the fact that they are not as organized as I would like them to be.

What is your school best known for?Grambling State University is best known for it’s band.,What kind of person should attend this school?I feel that people who want to succeed and really learn what they need in life should attend Grambling State University. When a teacher has students in their classes that they can tell really want to learn; it makes the teacher feel good and want to teach more. I feel Grambling State University name should be in better standing with other schools. Such as on the other colleges level of excellence.

Describe your classmates in one sentence.My classmates are enthused about learning, about their collegiate experiece, and embrace diversity.,What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered?My institution is enriched with culture and opportunity.  Students from all walks not only express their interest, but demonstrate it through high retention rates,  use of academic resources, hands on learning, field studies,  and drive. Grambling State provides a caring and loving environment that feels like home away from home. The faculty demonstrate interest in the students , they openly express their expectations; nothing less than your best!, and provide resources that maximize our opportunities beyond college.  My school is located in the South, so their is that good ole southern hospitality!  I Love it!
