What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?I do not find anything worse about my school to complain about due to my experience in this school. In addition, it has served be extremely well in a variety of ways. For instance, academically there are a lot of good professors who are caring. On the other hand, there are always convenient technology access and recreational services as well. Therefore, nothing bad about my school at all. What’s the most frustrating thing about your school? The only thing that I personally find to be a little frustrating is that there tend to be some distractions on campus. In addition, classes are for too long hours and too much readings in some classes. However,  this is college and a part of life so nothing much to complain about.

Describe your classmates in one sentence. My classmates are a very diverse group. What’s unique about your school compared to other schools you considered? My school participates in the National Student Exchange. I am attending this school on my exchange for one semester. I wanted to experience life in a big city.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?The worst thing about the school was that I realized later, I was not taught how to learn.  Most of the work was rote memorization and did not give one tools to grow intellectually when the program ended.  The class I enjoyed most was Psychology and Literature because it at least gave us an opportunity to understand people more deeply in real life situations.  I wanted to be excited about what I was learning.  I am a published poet now and a major poet whose name escapes me said:  “No excitement from the poet, no excitement in the reader.”,What’s the most frustrating thing about your school?I think what was most frustrating for me at CUNY Queens College as an undergraduate and psychology major was the narrowness of the program. Basically, the curriculum consisted of behavioral and experimental psychology.  Little time was given to many of the other discoveries made in the field including Gestalt, Jungian, Maslow and self-actualization, Carl Rogers and his listening-oriented cosmology.  I remember one day when in an experimental psychology class and we were reading about an experiment that was done and when I offered that the “tester’s participation” influenced the outcome of the study, I was silenced.

What is your school best known for?My school is best known for providing a quality education at a very affordable price.  As a student at Queens College, I can say that is exactly what it does.,What kind of person should attend this school?I don’t think there’s one kind of person that should attend Queens College.  It’s precisely because so many types of people attend that it is such a diverse and enjoyable place.  There are so many things happening, whether it be intellectual stimulation, opportunities for community service, or even just the chance to have fun.  That’s why the kind of person who will get the most out of Queens College is someone who won’t get lost in the crowd, and seeks out those opportunities instead of waiting for them to fall into his or her lap.

What is your school best known for?The education as a whole; every program is directed towards options because there are so many classes to choose from to gear you towards your interests within your major.  The staff is just as equal to the education level with their excellent guidance for every student; no one is ever turned away, denied help, or given no for an answer.,Describe your classmates in one sentence.Everyone is diverse and there is always something new to learn from each person, it’s easy to see the people who are serious and those who aren’t about their education and future, but what’s great is that you can always connect with people even if you have different paths to travel.
