Established in 1873 as a land-grant university, and founded in 1875 by William Hooper Councill, Alabama A & M boasts a great deal of campus diversity with its strong academics, division 1 athletics and campus activities and social organizations. There is something for everyone in terms of studies, sports and socializing. With over 70 majors and concentrations and over 100 on-campus organizations and clubs, students are able to socialize and earn a valuable education. The campus brings in a variety of diverse social events including those sponsored by radio stations, concerts, comedy shows, plays and carnivals. On-campus residences are even known to host their own activities, including salsa lessons.

Sometimes some are not so friendly, but only the incoming students.,What’s the most frustrating thing about your school?The most frustrating thing about my school is how the campus is on a hill, so it gets very tiring walking the campus. Also, it is vey hot right now so that makes it even more frustrating.
