Once upon a time, a group of people were trying to understand more about how parents and students feel about paying for college and they learned a lot about how complex and stressful the entire process of college planning and admissions can be.

One thing led to another, and they soon realized that there was a definite need for helpful and well-researched college planning advice. On September 1, 2007, that group started working full time on new ways to help families trying to navigate the long and winding road to college.

CampusDiscovery.com is the first fruit of all that research.

The first step toward this vision is to collect the data, and CampusDiscovery.com went live in July of 2008 to do just that. Then, prospective students started benefiting from the insights provided by over 70,000 college students in October of 2009 when WiseChoice (parent company of CampusDiscovery) launched its website for college matching.

In 2010 and 2011, we continued our data collection efforts, and now, in 2012, we have responses from well over 130,000 students. With school scorecards and campus reviews that provide rich insights for college-bound students and their parents, we are continuing to gather ratings and school reviews from current college students and recent grads across the nation.

CampusDiscovery.com was created to provide students with the inside scoop about particular colleges – based on survey responses from current and recent students. The new college database features proprietary reviews and commentary on schools that can help students develop their own opinions about colleges, instead of relying on the school websites or brochures.
